Very much enjoyed the movies and television programs in which he was involved. Very much regret to read of his death. Sincerely. bruce.

He played the parts well. There won't be another one like him.

RIP Gunny. Was glad to have met you. The big surprise is that you were nothing like your "on-screen" persona.

Can't believe he's gone! I watched his History Channel programs over & over again--until they were replaced by "Oak Island" and similar total BS programs that now predominate on HC (which should now be called "Nonsense Channel.)"

He was in a Steven Seagal flick too. 1:47 of some Ermey classics.

My understanding is that Marine Recruiters used to suggest that prospective enlistees watch that film before committing. Everything about R. Lee was just the embodiment of the supremely professional NCO.

I believe he was a frequent attendee at Perry, used the M-1A, and was said to be very friendly. His death is a big loss.

I loved R. Lee's stuff! May he RIP. But with that said, I liked Jack Web's one time performance a wee bit better. R. Lee was much better in continuing the role with many TV shows and other appearances. BTW, I got to know USMC DI's quite well in the 18 weeks in USN OCS in Pensacola.

                              Who can forget this???
