"Assault Rifle" is terminology ginned up by the anti-gun media. It is intended to be repeated incessantly, until accepted as a true definition. The same ploy worked with the term "immigrants" which the sheeple now accept as meaning "illegals".

oh i know very well that trying to convince any of the liberals out there is much like trying to convince a religious zealot that they might not have all the facts. even the traditional description of an assault rifle"select fire, mid sized cartridge, etc" means nothing to them.
