One of Red's predictions that didn't come true

Red....You tried to pull a fast one by deleting your posts in a bookmarked thread. However I forewarned you and was ready for anything.

Wrong....and where are the Cardinals today?

Boy don't cross JB in Cub-related threads. Gotta say though (at the risk of reprisal) that the Bucs are giving them trouble, and the Cards may yet redeem themselves this weekend.

Reprisals.....from me? Nah. It's just baseball when you get down to basics. So little we can do about it. It's up to our favorite teams to perform and out perform their competition on any given day.
You may recall I never under estimated Pittsburgh. They are finishing strong. Just not close enough in the standings as I feared they might. This is their third big spurt of the year and it's too little too late as far as post-season goes. Keep your eye on them. As we Cubs fans learned to say (for 108 years) "Wait 'til next year!"

What I don't want to see is a tie between Milwaukee and Chicago. A sudden death playoff game for the division title. Then the loser plays sudden death again the following day for the Wild Card spot in the NL. That's a lot to ask of any team. I don't care if they are the Brewers.

He spiked the Gatorade in the bullpen! It was scary. The Cubs were able to repent by the 10th though. I was breathing a little easier tonight until....Yeah. Carl Edwards is on the mound in the 8th. Crap!

OK JB, I was wrong, The Cardinals fell on their ass. Their minor league pitching staff including their fireballer reliever that was pitching in A ball last year couldn't keep it up.

Just as I couldn't keep up defending the American way of life against the twisters and turners, the Nazi's and burners when guys like you started joining them. You flatter yourself when you assume "deleting your posts in a bookmarked thread..." was me trying to be retract my prediction. In fact that was just one of 300 posts I deleted when I quit. Have a good time with your new BFF togor and his other low life traitor followers.

Red, let me start by reminding you this was a simple baseball thread that anyone/everyone is welcome to join. No politics. No verbal attacks. Just baseball and the post season race. Razzing is fine but there hasn't been any taunting and it's going as well as can be expected. You were welcome too. I only started a new separate thread because I noticed you retracted your postings on the original. Which by the way, caused me to take a closer look before starting it and I did in fact notice you had deleted not all of your postings, but just the ones on the "most recent" list but for one. Wasn't my place to say in open forum so I didn't. Only mentioned the ones pertinent to the present ongoing subject.
(FWIW I used to moderate another board and I have seen that before.) You didn't cancel your account so I was hoping you were still lurking and would join in. You did and I was glad to see you at first. Then you disappointed me by adding unfounded accusations. Shame.

C'mon now Red. Just because I trade banter with those you dislike I'm a Nazi/burner/traitor? Seriously? When did you become a hold-out member of the Japanese Tokko?

I recall both agreeing and disagreeing with...let's say "Togor & Co." and yourself on equal terms. Yet I always felt you and he would be welcomed in my home. Until now. When someone brands me with outlandish accusations and dictates who I may or may not speak to, then that forces me to choose how I interpret that individual. 'nuff said about that on my part.

                    This thread is about Baseball!

Last night I went out wearing a Chicago Cubs shirt and a Detroit Tigers cap. The NLC race is tightening like a noose.

JB, going down to the wire! I'm a Cards fan for the weekend but won't be donning any gear. One of my good buddies with whom who I coached youth baseball is from Columbia, MO, so he comes by his Cards allegiance honestly.

Two games in a row the Brewers fall into early 3-0 holes and rally on Yelich HRs. The guy is carrying his club. It's exciting but their starting pitching blows these days and Counsell is leaning heavy on the bullpen, which he can't do so much when the 25 man playoff rosters get set. Cubs meanwhile have 3 solid starters which is enough to make a run.

Cubs can't go anywhere without bats in the clinch. Brewers are hungry. Yes, Yelich is having a phenomenal month. Let's see what happens in Sunday's games?

You put the politics in it when you accused me of... "pulling a fast one" by deleting my post That was a flat out personal attack on my integrity. Up until you lied about that, I never said anything political on this thread. You stab me in the back and then claim I am being political? That sure sounds like twisting and turning to me.
