A bad start to 2019 for our police

Law enforcement has taken a severe hit so far in 2019. Seven officers have died while serving their communities. Stop for a moment and thank a cop for his/her service. He/she deserves your respect for doing a very dangerous and often thankless job.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

    Officer Dale Woods
    Officer Chateri Payne
    Officer Natalie Corona
    Officer Wytasha Carter
    Officer Christopher Lambert
    Officer Joseph Shinner
    Officer Clayton Townsend

When I see an officer sitting in his/her cruiser on the road watching I stop and give them money for lunch. Many protest it is not necessary, I warn them I will file a complaint that they are taking away an old mans happiness. This always invokes a big grin and a thank you. When our daughter worked the window at McDonalds and saw a Sheriff's Cruiser in line she always paid for their meal which surprised them. They told her not to do it and she told them to talk to me, so they became quiet. I live in the country and depend on the S.O., how about the cops in your AO?
