Apparently this family got on the nerves of the locals during a long holiday. The media describes them as English tourists, but others say they are Irish Travelers. As the stories piled up, word got around and apparently they became a sort of national fixation in NZ. If a fraction of it is true, then I'm glad I don't have them for neighbors.
