Grand Army of the Republic Certificate

Here are a couple photos of a Grand Army of the Republic certificate. They were issued to honorary members of the organization. This particular certificate is from 1929 and is very interesting because it was issued to Charles Kline, who was the mayor of Pittsburgh in the 1920s and early 1930s. Charles was the last Republican mayor of Pittsburgh.

This is a certificate and badge for the 38th National Encampment in Boston in 1904. the Cert is written to Daniel Webster King, the brother of Benjamin Flint King who is the actual GAR veteran. Benj F King is my Mother's great grandfather.1904GARCert.jpg
