Need Help With a PDF

I have compiled all of the Major's Sea Stories and Camel Tales in a monster (568 pages) of a PDF. I had to use that format because it was the way he had them and putting them into editable Word files hosed the pictures. The problem now is that there is no Table of Contents and I have no clue how to add a TOC with links to each story in Acrobat version 8. The plan is to make the Major's stories available to all and hopefully to add them to an online library.

If any of you can help with this index problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Appreciate it, but those nifty tools aren't present in my old version 8. Maybe it isn't possible without further enriching Adobe.

Hi. Download CutePDF. It's a free converter that lets you turn any file into a .pdf. It sits under 'print' in any word processor.

Thanks! Upgraded my Adobe and now I have the tools you linked. With a little luck, I will soon have the Major's stories available.

That's pretty much it. You have to buy the version that lets you edit files. You might be able to borrow time on a machine with the later Adobe graphics suite, which included the Adobe editor. There are free .pdf editors available for Windows, I've never tried them. https://www.lifewire.com/best-free-pdf-editors-4147622 There are some pretty decent ones for Linux that really ARE free.
