How to remove sights on S&W M&P Shield????

Anyone have any experience changing the sights on a S&W M&P Shield? My cousin has one and bought these different sights, but says he cannot get the old ones to come out of the dovetails? I havn't seen the gun yet but expect to soon and wanna act like I know what I'm doing?
Could they be just so tite that they are hard to tp out? Or is there maybe a special tool needed?
Any help would be appreciated?

Take it to a gunsmith that has the proper tool. They are VERY tight and you will have an extremely difficult time trying to drive them out with a hammer and punch.
