    April 19, 1775................

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world.

    Molon labe!

General Thomas Gage, British Commander in Chief North America and Governor of Massachusetts Bay wrote to the Secretary at War in London:
"These people show a spirit and conduct against us they never showed against the French...They are now spirited by a rage and enthusiasm as great as ever people were possessed of and you must proceed in earnest or give the business up."

Not ONE word from the MSM about today's date. But then, it's not surprising, US History isn't really taught in schools anymore.

The MSM would probably be against it, and call the American Revolution "racist" if they knew about it.

One of the victims of the Boston Massacre was Crispus Attucks, of black and Indian ancestry.
When Washington and others Southerners arrived at Boston they saw numerous black and mixed blood men whom they assumed to be servants and laborers. They were quite taken aback when the command " Fall In !" and they realized many of these men were soldiers.
This June 28th will be the 241st Anniversary of the Battle of Monmouth, and the 105th anniversary of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. And the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. Which do you think will get more coverage ?

The Shot heard around the World. Thank France because without their direct involvement we might still be subjects of the crown.

Gen. John Galvin wrote "Three Men of Boston" as a complement to his Doctoral Thesis. Wonderful explanation of the situation and events leading up to our independence.

Yeah, which of those events will get all the coverage. Those Patriots who fought and fell would look at us today and ask 'which of you will pick up the banner?'.

"...the American Revolution..." The American Rebellion, you mean.
"...might still be subjects of the crown..." You can be again by just swearing allegiance to Her Majesty. No more Spanish classes in High School(graduating from such will cease being a big deal too.). French will be jammed down your throat instead. No more Electoral College. No more voting for a Senator every 2 years. snicker.

All this bloodshed and fighting for freedom, now we are giving our countries away to the very ones who kill us and pay them (foreign aid) to do so.
