    Eulogy for a Veteran

Happen to come across this today and thought I would post it. The author is unknown.

    Eulogy for a Veteran

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the Gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine a night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
    Author unkown.

I had my zippo lighter engraved when I got home.
    it said:
there are two things in life
    the living and dead
    I saw them both
    feed your head.

NOT original to me. I copied it from someone else.
