Want to put a pair of trail cams in the barn, facing each other to provide full coverage. Anyone used them and have recommendations or suggestions on desirable features?

I have the cheapest Cabela's brand camera they made,
use it to view my garden (to see what may be eating it, if at all)
it was ~$100 or so when I bough it 3 years ago,
works well, ,
night time it will light up critters at 40 feet or so, and I can see eyeballs 2=3x's that far,
daytime I can tell who is walking on the road from 125' away, ,,
will do short burst video but I have just set it up for pics,
4 AA batteries, it will run a couple weeks on the good batteries, cheapy batteries last maybe 4 days,
