"...handful of Americans..." More than a handful. 244 Americans served with the 3 RAF Eagle Squadrons. All 3 were overhead at Dieppe.Spelling and grammar count! -
Bless them. If you have had the occasion to meet an old man that was in WWI. I was a young man carrying mail. Up and down the rural streets. There was this old man sitting in the front yard picking the weeds. I saw him day after day. One day; I stopped by and his granddaughter stepped out. She thanked me for spending some time with her grandfather. The old man was about blind. He spent his time picking weeds from the lawn.
