Facing an issue of sorts

With the return coming forthwith I have a decision to make and am seeking guidance. I have a chance to pick up a P226 .40S&W. I have plenty of brass and the ability to reload this caliber. I have toyed with the idea of picking up two other barrels to go with it .357 Sig and the 9mm. The first two calibers can use the same magazine and 20lb recoil spring, the 9 will need a different mag and a 15lb spring.
The issue is do I do this or pick up additional components? I have the P220 now so there will be little difference in holsters, maintaine or anything else. The reason I am leaning into the buy is that the P226 will cost less to shoot.
Opinions sought as I can't go in both directions now.

I have a very nice P-226 Legion. It has been ages since I owned a 9mm Sig. This has got to be the best I've ever had in my hands on the range. I got to borrow a P-226 in .40 S&W from my brother. He had it as a spare when carrying one as a LEO. It was in my opinion about ideal. Plenty of power, capacity and absolutely perfect 100% reliable function using any kind of ammo loaded in the magazines. Excellent trigger, sights, etc. One question ... the 9mm casing is smaller than the .40 S&W. Would it be necessary to use a different slide w/ the .40 S&W barrel? What about the .357 Sig? The .357 Sig is case line similar so no basic change is need, just a barrel swap. On YouTube I have seen some switch the barrel, magazine with replacing the 20lb spring with a 15 lb spring for the 9. If so, I can have 3 guns in one with a modest outlay. More research is needed, the Sig's are excellent weapons, cost is the major drawback for many.

friend has a SS 226 (all stainless) that is orginally a 357, (he is a big fan of the 357 sig)

he has a 9mm and 40 cal barrel for it,

with 9mm,. that heavy pistol is dead on accurate, with very little recoil


he also favors a 239 in 40 as a carry gun, it also handles and shoots well,


SIG's are a damn fine pistol,
I sometimes carry a P6 or a P220, and just recently picked up a P228 that as soon as I get a few more rounds thru it, will likely replace my P6 in my carry rotation

After further research I have declined the .357 Sig due to two factors that I have just discovered. 1} it is hard on the gun and leads to wear out of the frame. I shoot a great deal and this is of prime concern. 2} With proper bullet-propellant the 9mm can come close to the .357 Sig.
Today if I can find time I am going to do a cost comparison of building practice ammo of .40vs.45. 175-180 lead vs 200. I have 1,000 pieces of 40 to start with, no idea of .45 as I have so much of it. A safe bet would be 10,000 or more.
