"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." Theodore Roosevelt

I have been putting this off and am going to do it today. Breaking in our new generator on propane to check how it runs under load and then change the oil. Going to run a 1500 watt electric heater and the fridge/freezer for 5 hours to set it.

Good luck. Isn't a 1500 watt heater just a toaster oven? Is your generator made by Honda? One of the quiet ones? I like the quote. I hope Teddy actually said that.

Found in Chapter IX of Theodore Roosevelt: An Autobiography (1913) pg.337: There is a bit of homely philosophy, quoted by Squire Bill Widener, of Widener’s Valley Virginia, which sums up one’s duty in life: “Do what you can, with what you’ve got, where you are”
