Taps for Veterans

Doesn't look like any parades or events at least through July 4. Meanwhile, I've been going out at 7 PM every day and playing something for the first responders. Anyway, looks like a lot of trumpeters and buglers are going to blow Taps at 3 PM on Memorial Day. I signed up. Here's the website for those interested.:

I'll probably play a couple other tunes - National Anthem March or America the Beautiful, and St. James Infirmary maybe.

Well I did it, played the National Anthem just ahead of three and then Taps. Decided to save St. James Infirmary (and Mack the Knife) for 7 PM. I didn't hear any other trumpets or bugles, but I'm sure there were plenty. For all those who have gone before us.
