Taken in isolation, it probably didn't get the attention it deserved. Died just like the man in Minnesota. Time to reopen the case.

How's it going since the illegals have been slowed down for you? Still on your plantation in Central America?

Interesting that you ask Sam..... but as I've mentioned many times my business has never hired an undocumented worker,,,, just can't get away with it whether I want to or not.
Since you ask we've lost restaurant clients and given up a condo development client as we can't get an "American" to give up their unemployment benefits and come back to work.
As it turns out this has been a good thing . Since our business expenses have risen so heavily over the past three years we've discovered that fewer expenses both labor and materials along with much lower insurance rates has put us at the same money with a lot less time involved . Should I thank Donald Trump for this..... or not?
Either way... retired soon .... and yes... I'll be spending plenty of time down on the plantation in Central America .
P.S. to Lyman.... It's Colombia with an O , not a U ... and it's two properties. One rural and one in the barrio
my business expenses have risen extreme over the past three yearsComment

Growing up was not easy, at 14 I volunteered for the Marine corp. They had just returned from Korea, that seemed to cause them to be selective. After going back and forth they asked me "Why the Marine Corp?" I explained to them I have had another bad day; it was decided I was just plain bad and nothing has changed. The curiosity got the best of them so they aske me what did the Marine corp have to do with me being bad. I explained; if it has been decided I was bad I should join the marines, I decided if I was bad I should look good going it. And they keep it together.A white man, Tony Timpa, was killed by police brutality in 2016. The officers were even joking about it afterward. The officers were never charged, the media did not pay any attention to it, and there were no riots or even "peaceful protests."
They decided I should talk to the ARMY, because? they were always looking for volunteers. It was not long before they left because they could not keep it together any longer. That was 1954, in 1962 I was through, by the time I was out of high school I had 5 years in.
The point? At 14 a mob decided I should pay for all of the sins committed against them. No matter how that problem worked out I was going to be blamed. so I had one hope, I was with two brothers, one was 14 and the other 12. One of them had to get away to explain I did nothing to provoke, I said nothing.
The next day no one woke up to find 4 people died in a race riot.
The 14 year old became a gun smith in North Texas, He died last year, he is the only one of the three that told the story and how lucky we were. And that was not the end.

Go run over someone in your golf cart to celebrate."The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. They who fired it were the greatest practical abolitionists this nation has produced." ~BG D. UllmanComment
