    Great Laugh

Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, former football players at Clemson University, lead a protest to remove the name of a John C Calhoun from a building at Clemson. The building housed the Honors College, of which neither probably had personal knowledge. They said that this naming was highly stressful to them.

    From the Richmond Enquirer, 1856:
Democratic liberty exists solely because we have slaves...freedom is not possible without slavery.
    John C. Calhoun:
"The defence of human liberty against the aggressions of despotic power have been always the most efficient in States where domestic slavery was to prevail."
As long as people are finding things to laugh about.

All of this is arsine. Anyone see the correlation between slavery and the nanny state, I do. So what's next on the list, do we change a name of historical Black College because 116 years ago it was changed to a white persons name that donated a bunch of money to that college? We need to stop this madness, before the white and Hispanic percent's of our population get tired of it and take matters into their own hands.

He had an unimpeachable excuse--his WIFE! Anyway, saints are exempt from the normal code of behavior.

As long as the activists insist on looking backward for any excuse they can find they will never get the support of the majority. In Dallas a statue of a Texas Ranger was removed as it might be seen as a symbol of police brutality.

I meant this a comment on the apparent importance placed on athletes and entertainers as commenters on societal problems. What gives LeBron or Beyoncé any qualifications other than personal opinion?

they have been told all their lives how great and mighty they are, and think that due to that, (and that they have stupid amounts of money) that we should bow to every word they say

remember, they are better than we are,
