Great story. But today I kick myself for buying a Ford Edge. The engine is OK but this is the second worse car I've ever owned. Next the the AMC Pacer! Thankfully I got the Platinum warranty. Ford is losing lots of money due to all the warranty work. It's Japanese from here on out.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Is that Japanese, made in America? My Isuzu is made in Japan, 200k+ miles and still going down the road.

Ford isn't losing any money. Just like Craftsman tools, the warranty was covered in the MSRP with room to fudge. The only money they might be "losing" is in the wishful thinking profit margin.
