    Pawn Shop

I have a friend who is a pawn broker. Every now and again he gets in an interesting collection. Today was one of those. A lady brought in her deceased husband's collection and he's selling the whole bunch on consignment. Prices might not be exact. Some of the more interesting items with prices as close as I can remember are:

Colt Python, 1982 six inch barrel stainless steel, NIB $4,000.00

Colt Diamondback 6" barrel used but not abused, $1,800.00

    S&W Model 66-1, 2 1/2" barrel, NIB $1,800.00

I don't recall the prices on these:

Dan Wesson revolver four barrel set, unfired, no box.

Colt Gold Cup Series 70. One grip has been replaced, lightly used.

There were also some other guns that I didn't inspect.

My buddy said they'd be in the store for a while, true, but they will sell. Collectors haunt pawn shops as we all know.

It was fun to check the collection out and handle some of them, neat stuff.

Nice collection/assortment. A reflection of one man's life though. We're all going to be there soon. The wife did the right thing probably. I just hope she kept at least one of them for herself and knows how to use it.

I was in his shop a year or so ago and he had a S&W 64-3, pretty much the end of the line for the .38 Special M&P revolver. It was on consignment from a different widow, NIB wit the original bill of sale from a store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Never know what you'll find.

I bought that one by the way.

Thanks Art. I've driven by it for almost 20 years and have never stopped in. I live in Kingwood.
