That'd be incendiaries. And it already dropped 'em.
The B-24's bomb load was only 5,000 pounds, but it could carry 'em 1700 miles.
      Spelling and grammar count!

Mommy Von Richtofen had MGs from Junior's victories over doorways and mantels in the manse.

The bomb load of the B17 and B24 were comparable. The short range load of both was 8,000 pounds. The B24 had a very marginal advantage at long range, 5,000 pounds to 4,500 pounds for the B17. Neither could match the bomb lift capacity of the British heavies. The B17 was more survivable but the B24 had a longer range, as mentioned and was supposed to have had a better auto pilot and was more versatile and friendlier to fly. Because of a number of factors, not the least of which was its superiority as a patrol bomber, the B24 completely supplanted the B17 in the Pacific by early 1943. The fact that the more robust Fortress was more in demand in Europe probably mattered too.

Yea, but look what the 29 did with one bomb and no escort of fighters!
