years ago a friend worked for a Rental place,

one day, he and a coworker were dropping off a TV and some furniture and had to take the back stairs (as in fire escape) to get some stuff up a floor or 2 to a flat,

clotheslines were strung from one apt to the other across the alley,

one such line had the usual, pants, shirts, underwear, and condoms,

apparently the user would rinse them out and hang them up to drip dry

That's just crazy. By a box of 100 latex examine gloves. Get extra large. Cut off the eight fingers(thumbs might work for some guys). You've 800 condoms. I have to think of everything.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

I really can't believe that this is true. The reality is that most people who use a condom do so in private and then dispose of them. There is no way that people would be dumping them in collection points. The only conceivable way that a large number of condoms could be collected in one place would be in a garbage can in a brothel and it would have to be a pretty big place to collect 300,000 of them. Also, of course, they are not expensive and it would seem pointless to re-use them

Have you ever seen NY Harbor? Years back when I arrived there coming back from duty in Germany. all you saw floating by in the water were lots of condoms. Just a guess but if they are close to a river near a city, that could be were the would get their supply..
