Any carrier sailors out there?
I asked a relative living in Dover, DE to send me a photo of the bronze propeller from the USS Shangri-La (built in 1944 and scrapped in 1988) that has been on display in front of a seafood restaurant that is near Dover. I served aboard the Shang in 1963. I am glad to see something from my old ship that survived. How a carrier prop that weighs several tons wound up in front of a seafood restaurant near Dover is probably an interesting story.
