Back to stuff left behind....The thing that bothers me isn't the true high tech stuff. As has been pointed out they would have to have support from a third party to keep all of that gear running. What bothers me is the little stuff like personal night vision equipment and infra- red rifle mounted gear that just needs a battery. We and our allies owned the night in Afghanistan because of this stuff. Now the Taliban are loaded up with night vision gear and high tech optics like ACOG telescopic sights and Aimpoint red dots, to name a few. They keep those batteries in stock and that stuff will be around for a long, long time. Then there are also, infantry portable weapons like anti tank missiles which I'm sure they've confiscated a lot of to support their huge supply of RPG 7 launchers.
