S&W to open new plant in Tennessee

I assume from the article this is for AR-15 production. It is stated that they are moving but then it states that the existing plant will remain with 1,000 employees too. This may just be the first step for a total move to a gun friendly state.

Most likely a move to modernize the factory , tax incentives , reduced labor costs , and of course a way to shield themselves from laws and law suits in Mass. Smart move by S&W in my opinion at least they didn't go over seas yet .

I recall reading somewhere that the new plant was to escape Mass laws,

like Allen said, there is some law on the books or upcoming that will prohibit some things they sell to be made there,

Because Massachusetts banned production of assault weapons.
They'd better hope Tennessee stay Red.
