Absolutely. They know that someone they love got killed and they will wonder how. Thumbed the hammer, pulled the trigger, it comes down to negligence. Young, ill trained kids making movies. Alec is a has-been who stooped to working with kids. Remember, no one can tell you no these days. Even if you don't know what you are doing.
If there was live ammo anywhere near the set, it's out of control. Not so much Baldwins fault for being a fool, but everyone who stood around while kids were firing live ammo on the off days.
There should have been someone in charge with some experience who said, knock it off. We have had a couple of deaths out here in my country by, well, a lot of deaths, by people who don't know the basics of gun handling. If you live in CA and don't know anything about guns don't let anyone hand you a piece without checking it out first. Point it at the ground and pull the trigger. You might be surprised or maybe not. If it's a revolver pull the trigger six times(at the ground). No harm done.

Just a guess, but I wonder if the revolver had been modified. IF both safety notches, and the full cock notch, had been ground off (or broken off) would drawing the hammer back and releasing it to fly forward fire a round without pulling the trigger? Baldwin said he didn't pull the trigger, and Hollywood is known to modify firearms to achieve certain effects.

I'm sure the said gun is in the hands of the authorities so it will be checked out.

Regardless, it is an act of negligence. Halyna Hutchins was killed by arrogance and stupidity.

It's going to be someone's else's fault, of course.
Like handing car keys to a 12 year old and letting them take it down the freeway. Once the disaster happens then it's "They should never have made that car!" and "Who put fuel in it?"
The scary part is always those who can't see anything for what it is. A bunch of incompetents without a lick of common sense. So someone else must pay. That's justice. (?)
