One of our planes came back from a gun run. I was on the flight line and brought it in to park. Up in the front there was 10 rds. of 20mm still hanging. I pulled them off and put them in my big pockets. When it came time to leave the base I just threw them in the trash. What good are armour piercing grenades if you don't have the gun that fires them? Nothing new in that article, could have been written 40-50 years ago. Sounds like it's part of the current Pentagon push to root out extremists. Also to deflect attention from more serious problems. And with so many things military, you wonder how much of it is just "stories".
