There is a whole family of submissions to you tube called "reaction videos" where a person watches a program, a song, anything for the first time and gives their immediate reaction. This is a young woman who is watching "The Pacific." It's really quite touching.

The porch scene where Bob Leckie does in fact have dinner date with Vera that evening is a good one. It's not in his book so not clear if it's based on truth or not.
Too bad BARs are in such short supply when filming those combat scenes.
