    A lot, in fact most of the guys I flew with have died from cancer.

    Benzene and carbon tetrachloride for solvents, and radar to cook the nuts and brain (high absorption tissues). The idea for the microwave oven came from a radar engineer wondering why his chocolate bar melted like that. Amana as we know trademarked the name Radarange.

      There was lots of toxic chemicals etc. that was also responsible. Agent Orange was spread by aviators over the jungles. The F-4 Phantom engines smoked and there was a top secret chemical made to inject into the exhausts to solve the problem. One eye drop, on a bare skin was deadly. Who knows what the remnants left on the exhaust vanes did to the people that worked on them.
