    Louise Fletcher

Passed away. Her portrayal of Nurse Mildred Ratched was decades ahead of the real life control freaks infesting academia and government.

    Rest in Peace.

I remember standing up in the theater and yelling, "kill her, kill her" when Jack was choking her. I was not the only one either...

Louise Fletcher winning her Academy Award. She certainly seemed be a very different person than Nurse Ratchet.

Obviously a tribute to her acting skills was her award and the ability to evoke such a visceral response from the audience.

When you have to play a bitch, you'd better act like you are one.
There's no nice way to do that.
Henry Silver was a real nasty villain on screen, but the nicest guy off.
