British defense is planning to dump the tried and tested C130 Herc
and replace it with the A400 Airbus. You can bet the Airbus will
be plagued with troubles before they get ironed out, so, as missions
like the SAS go on are usually kinda delicate, why not wait until the
Airbus is 100% ? But bureaucrats being bureaucrats you know that
ain't gonna happen.

Brit C130s run on steam and are long in tooth. But just getting a nice patina, some say.

Hopefully they will just buy a couple and experiment with them before getting rid of their good planes otherwise they could end up being the next Ukraine needing weapons and no money left.
