    Art fans?

Can anyone name the artist who painted these scenes? You WILL recognize the name of this very famous person not normally connected with art! SW

He had trouble expressing perception normally on canvas.... which may or may not have had something to do with later behaviour.

Being rejected from art school didn't help either.

He didn't have a funny 'stash until his big 'stash messed up his WW1 gas mask seal and he got a good whiff of phosgene. SW

He didn't get a big enough whiff.

You may notice the complete lack of people in his paintings.
As an artist he'd have made a terrible house painter!

I don't think he liked people, at least those living in other countries.

Painting people at a distance shouldn't be that difficult but portrait painting is much harder than landscape painting if you've ever tried it.

IIRC that individual's application to the Vienna Art Institute was rejected, they said he was better suited to architecture. But the Architectural Institute rejected him because he was a high school dropout.
