Lewis Keseberg, the only one of the three Donner Party members left behind after the Third Relief, was found by a group led by William Fallon in the spring. The other two -- George and Tamsen Donner -- had died. Tamsen was freshly dead, and Keseberg was cooking her internal organs.
Keseberg came out with the Fallon party. He opened a restaurant in Yerba Buena (now San Francisco.) The Sherrif wrote a letter about him, saying, "I'd like to have a meal there -- I wouldn't !!Comment
