    A movie prop?

A old lady friend of mine (we dated in high school in 1962) has several guns left in a safe when her husband died in 2016 that she wants to sell. I had no problem selling some of them, and the others her disabled son wanted to keep. This one intrigued me. But almost all the parts look very old and real with a big exception. It is cap and ball and not a remake. The lock does not work and there is no plugged holes that would be filled from a flintlock.

So what the heck is it? A movie prop or a fake designed as a wall hanger. The stock is very good and the parts all look real. The proof in the pudding is the cap holder is machined into the barrel.

I have no use for it. What would you do with it?

The nipple? Yeah, between that and no markings (?) it may be a wall hanger or something someone converted or rebarreled in desperation.
