      As I approach the age of 80, I find that I don't have the energy that I used to have, even a few years ago. Given that, I doubt that I would have the energy to be a full time working politician, especially in as significant a position as a senator. I feel that my intellectual capabilities have not eroded but if I couldn't match that with a modicum of physical capability I would not be effective. I'm probably pretty typical and that might suggest that there is a practical upper age limit to being a politician
