Today people would be LOST having to drive rear wheel no anti lock vehicles.

Back in the day, I put tire chains on the rear tires. Worked a lot better than snow tires! I still have a set of them.

I've seen a heavy snow (12" or so) about 3 times in my lifetime. Usually when we get a snow here it is slight and falls on a non-frozen ground so it doesn't last long.

It's pretty and nice to look at but where I live, it is someone else's problem.

I will take the rear wheel drive any time and is one reason I drive a truck, can't see where anti-lock brakes are better but they may be. I don't get into those situations much where heavy braking occurs any more.
