An old incident covered up by Pres. Johnson playing playing politics

Despite the overwhelming evidence that Israel had attacked the ship and killed the American servicemen deliberately, the Johnson administration and Congress covered up the entire incident. Johnson was planning to run for president the following year and needed the support of pro-Israel voters.

Despite that two of the pilots observed and said the ship is flying an American Flag, the ship was still attacked!

they ended up getting sued and bankrupted out of business.

I looked up the "spotlight" news as it appears it went out of business but does not say it was bankrupted or why it went out of business!

I looked up the "spotlight" news as it appears it was sold on October 1, 2009, Spotlight Newspapers and its parent company Eagle Newspapers were sold to Community Media Group, LLC. Community Media Group is a New York-based company with local ownership. The Spotlight has always been a local news source.

They knew it was an American ship in neutral waters but they still attacked it with a resulting of loss of American lives! A poor decision that will haunt Israel for years

My guess is the attack ended and the ship was not sunk as planned when it was found the incident was being monitored by a US plane flying above the incident and the attack was fully being observed by the US plane and the attack was stopped and excuses made!

Was the attack a mistake or intentional! Only those actually involved know! It's only history now!
