The gov't is probably just anxious to snoop.
We had a couple of registered full auto guns and got rid of them because the feds have records on you and claim they have the right to "visit" you at any time w/o notice to "check up" on you and your guns. As if a person registering a gun would have something illegal or something to hide.
It's all a part of over-reach and government control.
As far as silencers go they should be available off the shelf. With all the population explosion and people living a few feet from one another quieter guns should be very welcome. I live outside of city limits and can shoot anything I wish but don't because of all the people who have moved in around me.Comment

well, they passed the FISA act and about what 95 GOPers voted for it.
So, the gov't CAN spy on you at will WITHOUT a warrant !
