    Bullitt Chase Scene Recreation

Richard Rawlings used to host an auto restoration program on TV called "Fast N Loud". After restoring a '68 Mustang fastback he made this clip with the car + a newly made Dodge Charger.

In the original chase scene a dark green VW bug is constantly shown and in the way. One was included on this film as well.

If you remember on the original, Steve McQueen missed his turn and did a reverse burnout (including rear axle hop). This was not scripted. McQueen actually came in a little too hot and missed his turn. It was decided to leave this scene in as it happened and not delete it. Ironically it became one of the best remembered parts.

Enjoy, it's only 9 minutes long.

Sure it was. No one disputes that.

This was just footage to show off a '68 Mustang that had been restored on a TV show.

The original chase scene lasted 10 minutes, but took two weeks to film.
