Re-felting a Pachmyar Range box, what glue to used?

I need to re-felt the jaws on the Range box.

Used 5% Acetic acid [ vinegar] for release the old felt and with lightly sand the wood surface before the proper adhesive.

Should I add second layer to the jaws , let dry for over-night, then lay the final [and continuous] strip over the remaining surfaces?

I just gave my old Pachmayr pistol box to my Brother from another Mother,
he altered it a bit, since for whatever reason his 1911 and S&W 41 did not fit right in it,
I am fairly certian he used 3M spray type adhesive to get the felt to stick

I've successfully used "Loctite General Performance" aerosol adhesive ( The "100 light") for felting things like dice rolling mats/boxes & dice towers. It seems to work well.
