This is all Greek to me.

Been hearing about this thing for years but have yet to read a reasonable article on exactly what it does or why it is needed.

DisCERNing the Trurth Scientists at CERN, the home of the Large Hadron Collider, have just observed an astoundingly rare phenomenon at the subatomic level, which could indicate a new understanding of ...

"Kaons, also known as K mesons, are made of two quarks."

    I never knew that!

And how is this going to help me get better than 2900 fps, or higher load density?

And a partridge in a pear tree keeps coming to mind....

Shouldn't be too hard to hit. He was a little chubby back then.

Faster is better. Our scientists are trying to get a vehicle to travel the speed of light!

The speed of sound has been conquered 50 years ago.

Whoever gets there first will rule the world!

Allen, once they find out what it does, (right now they only know it is there,) they will then know why it is needed.

It is definitely a Pear Tree.

That gives me some idea of what this collider/masturbater/atom smasher/particle accelerator contraption is.

That reminds me of Nancy Pelosi's comment on obama passing obamacare: "hurry up and pass it so we can see what is says".

Getting back to that particle accelerator thing, here's this.

Looks like someone (probably us) is spending a bunch of money.

                        Still Greek to me.

Wonder if DOGE, not to be confused with Dodge, has discovered the gov't grant to discover how the Kaons got past the Romulons and Neutral Zone and made it into Federation space.

I donno but so far they are finding waste such as "billions of dollars for private research to see why the mold on an orange turns green instead of grey".

There may be a rare particle called a KAON but it is well known that the world is made up of a much larger number of protons, neutrons, electrons and (mostly) MORONS
