Walmart has their Christmas items out

Went to WM today and the store was full of Christmas stuff already. Seems like they do it earlier every year. Problem I have is their space is limited and some still in season merchandise like chain saws, lawn and garden items, BBQ, etc have been placed back into the warehouse. Countless other items have been moved making it more difficult than normal to find things.

I buy a lot of stuff thru them on line. Some of it comes through 3rd party sellers but unlike Amazon and ebay you can return most of these items back at WM if need be. The site, if you indicate what your local store is, shows the item and indicates what aisle it is in. When I make out a grocery list I look up some items to save me time looking for them. With all the stuff being moved about due to the Christmas inventory, the info isn't accurate now other than food items.

Been close to 5 years since my last visit to Wally World and no desire to ever return again, either. Don't like the crowds, poor service, chicken bones and soiled diapers left on shelving and display counters, disrespectful employees, certain rude customers, homeless, drug addicted, vagrant panhandlers in the parking lot, etc. Do most of my shopping at Amazon, Costco and the military commissary.

Overall the rot of society common at many brick and mortar establishments. A big reason why they don't stay open 24hrs any longer. I don't have those problems other than a few rude employees, mainly those who push those giant carts thru the aisles filling orders. There aren't many of them though and they seem to vanish soon. I guess they don't want to be there in the first place and their attitude reflects that.

Nonetheless, for those and several other reasons, my wife stays at home while I do the shopping. She finds most of what she wants on-line and we just have it delivered.

we have an upscale walmart near us, that the wife shops at, but usually on a Sat or Sun AM , as in 7am

we have stopped by during the day, and it is generally a nice store, but then again, the neighborhoods around it are upscale,

go 5 miles east and it is hood central

Back in the day, we started getting revved up about Christmas when we got the Sears or Monkey Wards Christmas catalogs. There were a ton of really cool toys in those! Several pages of toy guns - chemistry kits with plenty of chemicals - toy soldiers, either in lead or green plastic. We knew we wouldn't be getting a ton of stuff, but it was fun to look through them.

Wally? I very seldom go there anymore - if I do, it's right when they open at 0600. Grab the specific items I wanted & beat it out the door. SW

Don't forget the big JCP catalogs too. 2 1/2"" thick catalogs full of "nothing". How did they do it and how are the still in business and the only ones still surviving?

Was able to pick up some small Christmas trees for my train layout in various sizes. This year I started the yule celebration in September with the start of my cool weather baking.
