    Battery life

Went to take wifey's '08 Chrysler 300 to do chores and... *click, click, click*. Mating call of the dead battery. Jumped it with my pickup (battery in the trunk is a great idea!) and off to the auto parts store I went. "Your battery's dead, Sir." said the parts guy. So I bought a new one. He remarked it was the original factory battery. I thought 17 years was pretty good! I was also thankful it bonked on a fairly nice day instead of a raging storm. Back in biz and GTG! SW

The first battery in my Mothers Mercury Grand Marquis lasted 11 years. I thought this was good as I usually get about 5 but replace them @ 3 years.

    I believe you've set a new record.

I have had factory batteries last that long, and have had the mid level replacement from autozone or whatever company not last past the warranty

it seems to be hit or miss

I don't gamble I replace them about every 6 years

I am Xing out my stop start and in place of the small battery my mechanic is installing a kit where I can have two 12-volt batteries to help power the goodies that I am planning on installing.
