    Agreed, although I used to like them before I knew better. Now days, I much prefer either Fuji or Gala which is crisper and has a much better flavor.

      I let our apples air dry for 24 hours and then place them in jars. Our daughter helps to teach the kids Sunday School class and took a jar for them to snack on. @ first no one wanted any until on of the boys tried a small sample and then the sample got larger and larger.

        I fell in love with Honey Crisps this year . Can't help making pies and eating them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I really do enjoy playing in the kitchen.
