    81-degree F

Other night mom and I were in our bedroom, she is reading and myself on the "puter". Temp outside was a balmy 16 and as usual I had our wood burning stove going and it felt wonderful. I looked at the temp, and it read 81 on my desk gauge. I started to chuckle, and mom asked what I was laughing at. When I told her the temp I stated, "In the summer we turn the A/C up and not I toss in another wood brick." She then asked for a dish of ice-cream with strawberries.

If only we could trap air in the winter and summer then exchange it.

Same for too much rain vs drought.

was in Hampton for a gunshow, stayed at Mom's condo, at Oceanview in Norfolk, (kinda a bad name, since it is actually Chesapeake Bay view)
got there Friday at about 430 temp was 55 inside,
turned the heat on and took it almost 4 hrs to get to 70

I am cold natured, and thought I would freeze there, the room facing the bay (just west of the bay bridge tunnel) is drafty as hell, and at least 5 degrees if not more than the rest of the place,

fortunately , the bedroom I used was warm enough to sleep, and I am a hot natured, as in like it cool, person,
I guess I need to take a thermometer, which I may do in Jan when I am back there for a show,

betting a 10+ degree diff in the bedrooms and main room/ galley kitchen

+13 right now which is an improvement over the +4 we had yesterday AM. Time to scoop snow in a bit, but it's light & fluffy so no need to fire up the snow blower. SW
