2026 Victory Garden

This past March I was able to have some of my overgrown property cut back, still more to do. I am turning this into a raised bed garden, along with a vineyard and blueberries and strawberries as well. Meat for the year is taken care of, now for the vegetables and fruit. If possible, will have dwarf apple trees as well.

With annual rainfall of 9", it's hard to ha e a garden in PHX. Hoze water is $$.

Rain always flooded my garden. Now, if I grew something the squirrels would probably swarm in like locust and strip everything clean like they do everything else here.

On the subject of cutting overgrown stuff back, I do a lot of that but keep things in check using cheap 20v hand held sprayers and a lot of herbicide.

For the first time in 50 years we are not going to have a garden anymore. Started taking down the old fence yesterday. Oh boy, more lawn. I do enjoy riding the zero turn mowing the yard and the range. Whatta Hobby!

Good picture---summarizes summer for many of us though most of us don't have your level of "elbow room". I know you won't miss having to cut/pull/spray weeds around that old fence you took down.

Zero's are the eighth wonder of the world. A much better mowing system.
