M1905 Springfield Bayonet with M1910 Scabbard possible USMC connection.

I found this at a gunshow today and was quite interested in the stampings on the handle. I have spend many years in Marine Corps armories, and this would not be unusual for Marines with extra time on their hands to do. The scabbard is about mint, bayonet, not quite. Looks like someones initials repeatedly and then 6th Marines stamped on one side. Also on top is USMC H & S Co.

Freedom is not free, the cost can be seen everyday, for it is engraved in marble, cast in bronze and highlighted with little American flags!

I will check and get back to you. There are no markings on the skin! Oh we'll, but I still think it a good find.

Wonderful find. How much did it cost you. I would say that they marked her up so there would be no doubt about where this blade belonged.

Started out at 400 clams, but I got it for the going price on Gunbroker and EBay, 275. With the condition of the scabbard alone I did well. I'm happy.
