The scabbard was painted during an overhaul. Not sure on the numbers... -
The scabbard was made by Victory plastics as were many of that type. The number on the blade...I think is a drawing number because I don't think PAL serially numbered their blades.Regards, JimComment

I woudl suspect use by the Italians post war, they numbered bayonets to make them accountable. In Italy Bayonets are controlled like guns it takes a permit to buy or own one.Comment
