    Remington Rolling Block bayonets

My father bought one of the Hunters Lodge black powder Remington rolling blocks back in the late 50's, for $1 extra you received a bayonet. The Remington is the No 1 action and I noticed the barrel also has a lug to attach a sword type of blade bayonet too. Did Remington also manufacture a sword type of blade bayonet for the South American market ?

All of the saber style bayonets I have seen for the South American rolling blocks like the M1879 Argentine Model have been German made. The earlier M1866/71 models did use a socket bayonet but not sure of the maker. If I could find my bayonet book LOL I might be able to tell you.
