USN MK I value?

A couple of posts down I showed a photo of a USN MK I knife and scabbard that are still in their wrappings. Bayonetman was kind enough to identify the knife as a Pal. I am not a knife collector and I am afraid that, if I keep it, I will end up unwrapping it. What do you guys think this knife is worth as is versus unwrapped and cleaned up?

Hi Scott. Within the last several months, I have seen two unissued PAL Mk I utility knives with scabbard, wrapped in tan paper with the PAL care tag sell on Ebay for over $225.00 each. These appeared to be factory unissued knives in mint condition with no preservative on them. IMO, they do sell for more if still in the wrapping.
