    Civil War Cavalry Officer saber.

I bought a collection of bayonets, and this was in the bunch. I didn't think much about it until I got it home and realized it was a civil war sword. I would appreicate any info someone can offer on it. It has a maker mark of "Henry Boker Solingen". Henry Boker was a sword and knife maker in Solingen Germany that did make swords for both the north and the south during the civil war. Any other info would be appreciated. I may have really scored with this one. It has some condition issues, but damn. Still a cool piece.

What you have is a U.S. M1850 Staff & Field Officers sword in relic condition.
